The HRMC Foundations 22nd Annual Cotillion proved to be a big winner in many ways, bringing in funds for the enhancement of an essential diagnostic service. 
The black tie gala, held in early November, was attended by 399 guests and netted over $92,000 for the expansion of digital mammography at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Longtime area residents and HRMC supporters Ralph and Lois Knechel were this year's Honorary Chairs, and Dr. Stanley J. Skoczylas, an OB/GYN on staff at HRMC since 1978, was the Physician Honoree. The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey was the presenting sponsor of the event.
Over 450 walkers took to the pavement at picturesque Mountain Lake on Sunday, October 16th during the 9th Annual Joan Knechel Memorial Walk. After all was said and done, the event was a record-breaker, with over $75,000 being raised for the expansion of digital mammography at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. This result brings the eight-year total net raised from the annual Walk to $450,000. Every year, 100% of all net proceeds from the Walk stay local and directly benefit the Joan Knechel Cancer Center and cancer related diagnosis and treatment at HRMC.
