Lab/Pathology

Hackettstown Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive Clinical Laboratory and is accredited by the College of American Pathology.

Outpatients can have their blood drawn from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday. The outpatient lab is closed on Sunday.  Registration for laboratory testing is on the ground floor of  the West Wing Medical Plaza. No appointment is necessary, with the exception of tolerance testing (glucose, xylose).

HRMC's Lab assists physicians in the diagnosis and monitoring of patient health by prompt analysis of body fluid and tissue. The Lab is composed of nine departments: Phlebotomy, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, Immunohematology, Microbiology, and Pathology. Pathology services are provided for both surgical and non-surgical specimens submitted for gross and/or microscopic examination. Therapeutic Phlebotomy Services are available by appointment.
